One Deadly Winter Combo

Blog // Fishing // The Experience // March 2, 2016

It’s wintertime, the only forage bait that is present are scattered mullet, water temps are lower than the fish prefer, so a more deliberate approach  will spring your fishing to life. A couple days after a cold front and the winds begin to calm, there are a few days of a warming trend that awakens the bite, and any type of bait activity can ignite fish into a feeding frenzy.

Take a LIVETARGET walking mullet and add some Pro-Cure Super Gel to the topwater bait, but be careful not to walk the bait rhythmically, too fast. Make the presentation more subtle, with varied pauses, keeping the bait and the scent in the strike zone allowing maximum exposure. The results are typically very good!
